CBD & THC Products

Health Without The High
Since the passing of the 2018 US Farm Bill cannabidiol (CBD) has been thrust into the spotlight as people discover its many therapeutic properties. While CBD has offered people across the country a better quality of life there are still others who are hesitant to try it due to lack its perceived association with marijuana.
Let's Start With The Plant......
When most people hear the term “Cannabis” they immediately think of marijuana. In actuality, cannabis just refers to a genus of plant and is not specific to marijuana. The cannabis plant actually has three primary species: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. CBD products are extracted from industrial hemp which falls under the cannabis sativa subspecies.

Industrial Hemp Products
Hemp and marijuana are simply broad classifications of cannabis. If the plants were sitting next to each other it would be difficult to tell them apart. The CBD products we carry are extracted from industrial hemp which is cannabis that is high in CBD with very little THC in the original plant. In order to be legal under the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp (and the products derived from it) must have 0.3% or less Delta-9 THC content.
CBD & THC for Healthcare
CBD and THC are just two of the over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. These cannabinoids are chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors which are part of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). THC is a psychoactive compound that leads to the effects traditionally associated with marijuana. CBD is non-psychoactive and helps to support the naturally occurring functions within the ECS system. You can read more about cannabinoids and the ECS system on the “How Does It Work?” page.

Can I Get High With Your CBD?
Nope! All CBD products we carry are sold under the 2018 Farm Bill which regulates the amount of THC in the plant and products. To further put you at ease all of our products carry Certificates of Analysis from third party labs ensuring that we remain compliant and customers know exactly what they’re getting. CBD has actually been said to counteract the psychoactive effects of THC through its impact on the CB1 and CB2 receptors in the ECS system.
